Easy Way In craps = point made without paired numbers (e.g., making an eight with a five and a three rather than with 2 fours, which is the hard way).
Econometric Models = Statistical methods of analyzing data and mak¬ing predictions about the future.

Edge = The mathematica! advantage; usually retained by the house. Edge Work (Edge Markings) A cheating technique in cards in whichthey are marked with a slight bevel or belly drawn on a certain pointof cach card between the design and the edge of the card.

Electric Dice = A cheating technique in craps in which the dice are loaded with steel slugs and used over an electric magnet hidden in or under a counter or dice table.
Element of Ruin = The probability that a player will lose their bank. Elevator A method of performing the hop in which the two halves ofthe deck are transposed by the right hand as it places the deck into the left hand to start the deal.

ER Man = Person who sits to the extreme right of the dealer; the anchor.
European Plan = In hotels, a billing arrangement under which meals are priced separately from rooms,
Even Chances (Even Money) = Odds of one to one.
Evening Shift = Time frame for working that usually covers from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Even Splitters = Dice which are so misspotted as to make it possible for the shooter to roll any of the even point numbers 4, 6, 8, 10.
Even Up = A wager made on even odds.
Exact Count = Equal to the running count divided by the conversion factor to indicate what the count would be if the game were being dealt from a single deck. Thus, if the running count is twelve, and three decks remain to be played, the exact count is twelve divided by three thus equaling four, indicating to the player that there is a rela¬tive surplus of two tens per fifty-two cards left to be played.
Executive Summary = A few pages usually positioned at the begin-ning of a marketing plan that sum up the plan’s main sections.

External Validity = The extent to which the research findings can be generalized to larger populations and applied to different settings.
